Mommy N Me II

Program overview

Mommy and Me II is a program that helps young children develop and refine a variety of manipulative skills and social skills, with the help of their parent.

The program focuses on throwing, catching, kicking, striking with an implement and bouncing.

Program Outline

Class typically run for 30 to 40 minutes with the program typically being once a week for 5 to 7 weeks within a township or community center setting.

Typical Activities

Cooperative Games: Parachute games to teach the importance of sharing and cooperation with others & moving the parachute to create different shapes.

Bouncing/Balloon Fun: Dribbling, throwing and catching practice with balloons & coordination skills with batting the balloons with noodles.

Tee Ball Skills: In this lesson we refine and practice throwing a ball using our critical cues.  This will get us ready to play tee-ball.

Mini Tee ball: Coordination skills with us learning to bat a ball off a tee,  followed by a mini tee ball game with our parents and children.

Kicking: We practice some gross motor skills by moving a ball with our feet to different targets.  We then introduce speed and getting away from our friends in our Scooby Doo game.

Bowling: Developing our coordination we use bowling pins & practice different way we can move a ball to knock down a target.
